Telangana Forest Minister A Indrakaran Reddy and Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy today launched two urban forest parks, "Arogya Vanams", at Dammaiguda and Jatayuvu in the Medipally area for people to relax and walk.
The ministers said that the parks had been developed with many facilities, at an estimated cost of Rs 74.42 lakh.
Intended to be lung space areas, these parks were developed by the government for people to enjoy non-polluted and green environment with family members, they said.
"They will become tourist spots with their facilities including walking tracks, yoga sheds and harvesting structures. From Gajiba - a specific point in one of the vanams - the total park area and even the city can be viewed," the ministers said.
They asserted that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was committed to providing green and theme parks for lung space around the city, and that more facilities would be added to the parks including food courts, play areas for children and gyms.

Monthly charges are collecting from Senior citizen walkers also. My humble request is that please exempt from senior citizens. Moreover Medipally park people collecting amount but not giving any cash receipt voucher, simply issuing a card with hand writing. While asking cash receipt they refused and told rudely that the card which was given only authentication. Same was brought in to the notice of concerned forest ranger Sri Srinivasa Reddy over phone. He also given same answer. Without cash receipt how can maintain accountal. Please go through and take appropriate action. And also consider senior citizens exemption request. Thank you
