Dharmapuri MLA, Congress leader and State Government Whip Adluri Lakshman today commented on former minister Malla Reddy's land dispute case.
Speaking to media persons in a press conference, he alleged that Reddy was making false claims in the issue, and said that he had convened the press conference because Reddy had mentioned his name several times.
He said that in the year 2015, some others and he had gotten land registered in their names from another person in survey number 82/e, and that there was also another former MLA who had land in the same survey number.
"We made the purchase after confirming that there were no land disputes. I am one of the 15 people who bought land in the said survey number. In 2021, we sold the land in that survey number to one Srinivas Reddy. After that, some others were dividing it into plots. I have come to the media because Srinivas Reddy, who bought land from me, is facing difficulties," Lakshman said.
"We spoke to Malla Reddy several times on this land issue in the presence of BRS leader Beri Subhash Reddy and others. Malla Reddy did not turn up despite being asked to come for a survey. He said that he didn't need a survey for the disputed land. Even though an injunction order was sought on the land in survey number 82/e by us, Malla Reddy did not file his counter in the issue," Lakshman added.
He claimed that when the BRS was in power in the past, the then municipal administration minister K T Rama Rao had also told Malla Reddy to settle the dispute, and alleged that Reddy had ignored KTR's advice.
He also alleged that Reddy played a lot of games when he was in power.
Lakshman suggested that a sitting judge of the High Court conduct an inquiry into the lands owned by Reddy in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
He also warned that he would not be a mute spectator now if Reddy acted at his will. He expressed anger against Reddy saying that the latter and his family members were threatening him with violence if they entered the lands. He asserted that all the claims of Malla Reddy over the disputed land were bogus, and asked the State government to take action against Reddy and family if their land documents were wrong.
He also said that he would definitely fight a legal battle for the land. "Now Malla Reddy says he will meet the CM. We will also meet the CM," Lakshman said.
