Turncoat MLA Danam Nagender Now Praises BRS
Nagender, an ex-minister, has not yet gained anything from defecting to the Congress, even a year and a half after the act.

Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender today made sensational remarks, claiming that the BRS' upcoming public meeting in Warangal on April 27 was expected to be a huge success.
Nagender, who was elected on a BRS ticket in the December 2023 Assembly elections, subsequently defected to the Congress.
However, during a media interaction, he said that the people were looking forward to seeing BRS President and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, and anticipated a large turnout for the event.
He also defended the actions of senior IAS officer Smita Sabharwal tweeting on the Kancha Gachibowli land dispute, claiming that there was nothing inappropriate about it.
"Smita Sabharwal shared an accurate representation of the Kancha Gachibowli land situation. Her comments were not meant to criticise the government, and any suggestion that she portrayed the government negatively is unfounded. The Supreme Court has taken the matter seriously, and I trust that the state government will reevaluate the Kancha Gachibowli land issue," he said.
Nagender, an ex-minister, has not yet gained anything from defecting to the Congress, even a year and a half after the act, and his comments indicate that he might be sending a signal to the party.
