Sree-Seva centres, the one-stop-shop for all pilgrim services, will be soon set up by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) specified authority.
Services that are to be packaged in Sree-Seva include reservation of accommodation, reservation of tickets for darshan of Lord Venkateshwara and providing travel advisory that include projected wait-time for darshan and grievance redressal system.
According to chairman of the specified authority, J Satyanarayana, the authority had taken many crucial decisions and assigned more financial and administrative powers to Executive Officer I Y R Krishna Rao to seal the loopholes in the administrative body.
The specified authority has decided to introduce the Sree-Seva centres from next year on pilot basis from Tirumala. Based on the response, it would be extended to all other districts in the State in a phased manner.
Satyanarayana said that the authority would bring in vast improvements, which should be non-controversial and at the same time beneficial to all devotees.
Satyanarayana pointed out that the serenity, sanctity, credibility and popularity of the world famous Tirumala temple should be protected and improved further.
To provide hassle-free darshan to common devotees, Satyanarayana said that the authority had decided to reduce VIP break darshan period from one hour to half-an-hour.
The authority also decided to introduce Sarva Darshan during Abhishekham period of Lord Venkateswara. It took a decision to restrict issue of Abhishekham tickets to 35 per day based on the recommendation letters of political leaders and others.
Satyanarayana said that the authority had decided to convene
National level convention in November first week to get feedback regarding improving amenities for devotees.
The Chairman said that religious heads convention would be organized in November–end.
Reacting to the Vigilance department's report on the Arjita Seva ticket booking scam, Satyanarayana said that the authority had taken a decision to replace the existing software with sophisticated software to prevent loopholes.
After examining the report thoroughly, the authority would take a final decision, Satyanarayana said.
