The TSRTC today gave some good news to its passengers in Hyderabad keeping in view the ongoing summer season.
It has announced that the T-24 tickets, valid for any number of bus rides in the city during a 24-hour duration, will now be available at just Rs 90, instead of Rs 120.
Senior citizens will get the tickets for even lesser - Rs 80. Senior citizens will have to produce their Aadhaar cards to bus conductors to avail themselves of the discount.
The revised rates will come into force from April 27.
The corporation had come up with the T-24 tickets for the convenience of passengers who travel a lot in its buses. The ticket is valid on all ordinary and metro buses, and, according to the Chairman of the corporation Bajireddy Govardhan and Managing Director V C Sajjanar, 25,000 T-24 tickets are sold on average per day.
The corporation is also introducing T-6 tickets for women and senior citizens, which will enable them to travel in TSRTC buses any number of times between 10 am and 4 pm.
It is also introducing F-24 tickets for friends and family members - upto four passengers can travel together in TSRTC city buses for 24 hours by paying an amount of Rs 300.
