The rear wheels of a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus came off while it was travelling through Motakondur mandal in Telangana's Yadadri Bhuvanagari district. The bus was carrying 40 passengers at the time of the incident.
However, due to the alertness of the bus driver, a major accident was averted. On realising that the wheels were coming loose, the driver began slowing down the moving vehicle, averting a mishap.
The incident took place when the vehicle was going towards Torrur from Hyderabad.
Both the passengers and the local TSRTC officials heaved a sigh of relief when the bus was able to slow down without any loss of life or any injuries.
Telangana has been witnessing a spate of unfortunate road mishaps - earlier this month, three commuters, Shaik Qamaruddin (35), Syed Jameel (22), and Syed Bablu (27), who were travelling on a scooter from Chandrayangutta towards Aramgarh junction, were
run over by a cement tanker. The accident happened when the driver of the two-wheeler, who reportedly had a prosthetic hand, lost control of the vehicle. The incident took place at Mailardevpally.
All three deceased were natives of Maharashtra and had been living in Hyderabad's Langar House area. Police reports say that after they fell, the tanker ran them over, killing the youngsters on the spot.
