Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday claimed that his party would win 90 seats to form the first government of Telangana State.
Addressing a press conference after chairing the party's extended meeting at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, KCR said that the TRS would not just emerge as the largest party, but would dwarf all other parties in terms of the number of seats won.
He said that the Congress would get not more than 35 seats in the Telangana region.
KCR also announced that the TRS would support the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance at the Centre.
He said that Rahul Gandhi would most probably be the next Prime Minister, and the TRS would support his candidature.
He said that the TRS would think about joining the Third Front if the UPA was not able to form the government.
The TRS chief also predicted that the YSR Congress Party would form the government in Seemandhra, and that Y S Jaganmohan Reddy would be the chief minister of the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh.
He said that the YSRCP would win nearly 100 seats.
When asked about TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu, KCR said that he would lose in both regions.
"He is a gone case," he said. (INN)
