The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Monday strongly condemned the burning of draft Telangana Bill copies by the activists of APNGOs.
Speaking to media persons separately, TRS floor leader Eetela Rajender and deputy leader T Harish Rao said that the burning of the draft Bill copies is an attack on the Constitution of India.
Harish Rao demanded that DGP B Prasada Rao file a suo moto case against those who burnt the copies.
He questioned as to how how the police could "ignore those who disrespect the Constitution", when a suo moto case can be filed for speaking against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
He demanded that the CM, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy express their reactions over the incident.
Meanwhile, Eetela said that the Telangana state would be a reality soon and that no form of protest could prevent its formation.
Further, he said the Telangana Bill has been sent to the Assembly only for views and that voting could not be conducted for the same. (INN)
