TRS To Agitate Against GO 177
TRS leader T Harish Rao demanded that the government immediately withdraw GO 177 which prevents employees from participating in strikes, and threatened agitations.
Senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader T Harish Rao on Friday demanded that the state government immediately withdraw the controversial GO 177, which prevents employees from participating in dharnas and strikes. The senior TRS leader said that the controversial GO deprives the employees of their rights and curbs their freedom.
Talking to media persons at Telangana Bhavan, Rao stated that the TRS would intensify the agitation against GO 177 across the Telangana districts and extend complete moral support to the employees if they launched protests.
As part of intensifying the agitation, he said the TRS would not allow Telangana ministers to move freely in their constituencies, and would stage dharnas in front of their residences.
Harish Rao also revealed that the party rank and file would take part in the direct agitations of the Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers until the government withdrew the controversial GO.
He also criticized Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu for keeping mum on the GO and pointed out that it was Naidu who had first floated the principle of "No Work, No Pay" through the GO 220 during his tenure. (INN)
