Union minister Prahlad Joshi today alleged that corruption had gone up in Telangana under the TRS' rule.
Addressing a gathering in Rajendra Nagar Assembly constituency, Joshi also claimed that CM K Chandrashekar Rao and his family members were cheating the people of the State by lying, and demeaning the stature of the State by using abusive language against their political rivals.
Joshi said that the Centre would soon put a check on the corruption in the State.
Alleging that the CM was also levelling false accusations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that the people of the State knew the truth about both the PM and the CM.
He also ridiculed KCR saying that while all the people of the country were the family members of Modi, KCR considered only his direct family members as his family.
As part of his tour, Joshi took part in the birth anniversary celebrations of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya held at a function hall in the constituency. He paid floral tributes at the portrait of Deen Dayal on the occasion. Later, he had breakfast at the residence of Manikonda Dalit Morcha president Vinod. He also visited the family members of Manikonda ward councillor Vandana Nagesh, who died recently due to ill-health, and consoled them. He promised that the BJP leadership would stand by them.
Later, Joshi took part in a Mann Ki Baat program held at Bandlaguda along with party leaders Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, Premender Reddy and Swami Goud.
