TRS MP Boora Narsaiah Goud said that the allegations made by Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy against the State government were utterly false and mischievous.
Speaking to the media at TRS Bhavan on Sunday, Boora said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was extending full support to the caste occupations, and had introduced several schemes for the benefit of all the BCs.
The State government had distributed 40 crore fish seed for the fishermen's community, he said, and expressed confidence that rearing the fish seed would result Rs 4,000 crores worth of benefits to that community, bringing light into the lives of the community.
He said that the TRS government had also decided to give lakhs of sheep and goats as there were around four lakh shepherds in Telangana.
"Komatireddy is not in a position to digest these facts, and is hence resorting to baseless allegations against the State government," he said.
He also asked Komatireddy whether it was not a fact that the Congress had earned notoriety for disturbing the lives of the toddy tappers in the State.
"Komatireddy himself has no interest in the development of BCs," he said. He condemned Komatireddy's charge that KCR was doing nothing for the caste occupations, and demanded that Komatireddy apologize to the BCs.
