Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao today said that the TRS government was extending the support necessary for the development of basic infrastructure like dump yards, cemeteries and parks in the state.
Speaking after participating in some development programs in Siddipet, he praised the government for developing the district in a holistic fashion.
"This district should become ideal for others in the state. Our government has developed it in every way," he said.
Talking about the auto drivers's association, the minister expressed his hope that the association would flourish. He then distributed uniforms to 137 auto drivers and encouraged the drivers to encourage their children to become collectors or doctors and engineers.
"Auto drivers must try to provide higher education to their children. Our government will extend all the necessary support to them in this regard," Rao said.
"The auto drivers are a disciplined group of workers. They should serve the public well. I am glad to see that their unity is so evident through the auto drivers' society. The members are able to find support through the body. The drivers will get Rs 10,000 as loan at low interest rates. This will help them sustain themselves in the field to serve people better. I appeal to them to follow Covid-19 safety protocols while working," he added.
Later, the minister distributed kits of essential commodities worth Rs 1,350 each to 270 education workers, and launched digital classes at the local government high school at Indira Nagar.
Addressing the gathering at the school, he said, "People are asking me how to get seats at this school. This is a good sign. While MLAs and ministers seek to get seats for their children in corporate and big private schools, the locals here will now be able to give their children quality education with ease at this school."
The leader appreciated the efforts being made to increase the strength in the government schools of Telangana.
