Telangana Rashtra Samithi Siricilla MLA K Taraka Rama Rao, on Thursday, predicted that the state may witness massive political changes after the by-election results are announced on 15 June.
Stating that uncertainty has been prevailing in the state's politics thanks to the ensuing by-elections, he said that a clear political picture would emerge once the election results are out.
Talking to media persons, Taraka Rama Rao said that the Congress would be forced to take a decision on Telangana after the by-elections. He predicted that the government would collapse if it fails to take a decision on the statehood issue.
"The decision on Telangana is important for the survival of the UPA government at the Centre," he pointed out.
Accusing the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy of looting the state's wealth, he demanded that the CBI seize Jagan's properties in Bengaluru and Ooty.
He also urged the CBI to conduct probes into YSR's cabinet ministers who had allegedly played a role in Jagan's accumulation of wealth by misusing their official positions.
Expressing confidence that the TRS would win from the Parakala Assembly constituency, KTR said that the people of the constituency would teach Konda Surekha, who is an opposing candidate in Parakala, a fitting lesson, for "cheating" them in the name of Telangana after her election.
Responding to the CBI's freezing of the bank accounts of the Sakshi group, he said that the government must extend support to the employees during the hour of crisis. (INN)
