Telangana Rashtra Samithi floor leader Etela Rajender strongly condemned the attack on Telangana supporters, allegedly by Samaikyandhra activists, during the APNGOs public meeting in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Addressing a press conference at the Telangana Bhavan, here on Sunday, Etela said that the sons of the soil were physically assaulted just for raising slogans of "Jai Telangana".
"Is it a crime to raise the Jai Telangana slogan on the soil of Telangana?" he asked, adding that police constable Srinivas Goud and OUJAC leader Balraj Yadav were attacked by "goondas" and "factionists".
Etela said that the APNGOs meeting was held with the consent and support of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. He sought an explanation from the Congress leaders belonging to Telangana about the APNGOs public meeting. He said that the voice of Telangana was being suppressed using political, muscle, and money power. (INN)
