Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today directed Ministers and Party legislators to take on the Opposition and give a fitting reply if they tried to stall the proceedings of the Assembly's Winter Session, beginning from December 16 and concluding on December 30.
According to the information, the House is expected to witness heated debates and a possible logjam as the BAC had agreed to take up the controversial note ban issue. At the insistence of MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, KCR reportedly agreed to take up a decision to discuss on the demonetization row, and the first day of the winter session is expected to begin with a lot of friction.
In that case, the members of the Opposition will take every chance to take a dig at the State government for opposing the note ban decision when the Centre announced it, earlier, only to take a u-turn on the issue.
The treasury benches have been asked to be prepared with spontaneous replies on the issues raised and calm the members of the Opposition down if the need arises. The Congress and the TDP have already made their decision to corner the government on crop loans, fee reimbursement, housing scheme for the poor, land distribution for dalits, redesigning of projects, and irrigation works among others, crystal clear.
The Chief Minister also asked Party leaders to be prepared with fact checkers to preempt the Opposition's criticisms.
