Claiming that the Telangana Congress played a constructive role in the winter session of the Assembly, Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy said that the Party pulled up the TRS government on various public issues at the right time.
Speaking to the media at the Congress Legislative Party office after the House was adjourned sine die on Wednesday, Jana Reddy said that the Congress accosted the TRS on its "anti-democratic" activities and unfulfilled assurances.
He said that the Telangana government failed to hear his Party's demand that it waive loans of farmers in a single go. He also recalled that the government had assured that it would pay the interest on farmer loans directly to the banks, apparently because of the Congress. The Opposition Party made the State government to promise the students that it would clear arrears of the fee reimbursement scheme by March 2017, he claimed.
Although inadequate in the number of representations in the House, the Congress played its role democratically and diligently, Reddy claimed.
