The Telangana Rashtra Samithi, on Monday, demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar resign from their posts for violating certain rules.
Speaking to media personnel after boycotting the Assembly's Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting, TRS floor leader Etala Rajender and his deputy T Harish Rao alleged that the presentation of Vote-on-Account budget in the House on Monday was undemocratic and violative of set norms.
They questioned as to how the State Cabinet could approve the Vote-on-Account budget when the Telangana ministers had boycotted the cabinet meeting. Further, they said that the Speaker had violated the rules by allowing the presenting of Vote-on-Account in the House.
The TRS leaders accused both the Chief Minister and the Speaker of violating the constitutional norms and described them as being unfit for their respective posts. (INN)
