Former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy claimed that the successful completion of debate on the AP Reorganisation Bill in the State Legislative Assembly, is a victory for the people of Telangana.
Speaking to media persons at the Assembly's media point, Komatireddy said that the Telangana legislators have made successful efforts in the last 4 days to block the resolution moved by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, under Rule 77, seeking rejection of the Bill.
He said that though the resolution has been passed by Speaker Nadendla Manohar through voice vote, the Telangana MLAs were successful in completing the process of taking Assembly's views on the Bill.
Komatireddy said that now the focus would be to ensure passing of the Telangana Bill in the Parliament.
He said that a strategy has already been devised by the Congress party and that the Telangana state would be a reality in the month of February. (INN)
