TRS Compensates Accident Victim's Family

The Party paid Rs. 5 lakhs as ex-gratia to the family of Satwik who was killed in an accident with the Minister's car.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today agreed to pay Rs. 5 lakhs as ex-gratia to the kin of 16-year-old Satwik who was killed in a road accident by Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy's convoy car recently at Nirmal.

The Endowments Minister called on the Chief Minister and sought financial assistance and free 2BHK housing facility to the deceased's nearest family.

KCR gave his nod for giving Rs. 5 lakh but did not promise anything regarding the housing facility. However, the Minister said that he would look into it, too, and that the government would extend all necessary help to Satwik's family on humanitarian grounds.

Sathwik a Class 10 student died in a road accident caused by a convoy of the minister on January 14.
