TRS Bags All Three Rajya Sabha Seats
B Prakash polled 33 votes, J Santhosh Kumar polled 32 votes, and Lingaiah Yadav polled 32 votes. Congress member Balram Naik got only 11 votes.

All the three TRS candidates were declared elected in the Rajya Sabha elections for three seats from Telangana held today.
108 MLAs out of 119 exercised their franchise in the elections held at the Assembly premises. While Finance Minister E Rajender cast his vote first, Congress member Jeevan Reddy cast the last one.
After the counting of the votes, the three TRS Members were declared elected, and the Congress nominee was defeated.
TRS candidate B Prakash polled 33 votes, J Santhosh Kumar polled 32 votes, and Lingaiah Yadav polled 32 votes. Congress member Balram Naik got only 11 votes.
Members of the BJP (5), CPM (1) and TDP (2) abstained from voting.
Firebrand leader Revanth Reddy, who switched over to the Congress recently, also did not cast his vote - he said that that was because he had resigned to the membership of the legislature.
The party-wise number of members that cast their votes are: TRS - 90, MIM - 7, Congress - 1.
Two Congress MLAs who were expelled from the membership could not vote - Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Sampath Kumar.
The newly elected RS members will take the oath of office on April 2 according to information.
A large number of TRS activists came to the Assembly to know the results.
