Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers (TNGO) Association President K Ravinder Reddy on Sunday urged the union leaders of the TSRTC not to fall into the trap of the opposition political leaders of the state.
He said that it was unfortunate that the opposition leaders had been spreading lies about the agenda of the meeting of the TNGOs with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, and said that the TNGOs had met the CM only with a plea to solve the problems being faced by the government employees of the State recently, and that there was nothing discussed about the TSRTC employees' strike.
He warned the TSRTC employee unions to be wary of the opposition party politicians alleging that these political leaders were trying to create a rift between the different employee union leaders of the state. He alleged that the political parties did not have any clarity on or commitment to solving the problems being faced by the RTC employees, and advised the TSRTC union leaders to continue their agitation on their own instead of depending upon political leaders.
Reddy also asked the RTC union leaders why they did not consult the TNGO before launching their indefinite strike. He said that the TNGOs stand was not to extend support to the ongoing RTC strike but to see that the demands raised by the corporation employees were fulfilled. He averred that they were ready to support the TSRTC employees if the TSRTC union leaders joined hands with them. He claimed that the RTC union leaders had told the TNGO leaders that they were not able to join hands for unavoidable reasons.
He urged the employees of the corporation to not lose hope and be courageous till their problems were solved.
