Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Convenor Kodandaram on Monday met Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, demanding that the latter ensure that the written examinations for the post of Sub-Inspector be conducted only after the
deletion of the controversial Clause 14(F) of the AP Public Employment Order 1975.
Emerging from the meeting with the minister, Kodandaram told media persons that Sabitha had promised to respond favourably to his demands. He also informed the media that the Home Minister had stated that she would take a decision that would not jeopardise the careers of the SI aspirants.

Lagadapati Rajgopal had on May 10th demanded that the government conduct the SI exams in the Telangana region.
Telangana Students Joint Action Committee (TSJAC), Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender, Kodandaram and other Telangana leaders had, for political and personal gains, immediately responded to Lagadapati's demands by warning the government of dire consequences if the SI exams were conducted prior to the deletion of Clause 14(F).
The students who were also Telangana agitators declared that if the government conducted the exams before deleting Clause 14(F), they would boycott the exams.
