The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has deployed special sleeper buses from the Shamshabad airport to Bengaluru and Chennai in response to the widespread IndiGo flight cancellations.
The RTN sleeper services depart daily at 4:30 pm from the airport.
Additional buses have been arranged to Rajahmundry, Kakinada and Visakhapatnam to ease passenger congestion.
Indian Railways too has introduced special trains on various routes, including Secunderabad-Chennai, Cherlapalli-Kolkata and Hyderabad-Mumbai, and has added 116 coaches to 37 trains to manage the surge in demand.
As is known, IndiGo's mass cancellations have disrupted travel nationwide, leaving passengers stranded.
