Reacting to Yeddyurappa's resignation as the Karnataka Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu said that all people who believed in democracy were happy today.
Speaking to the media on Saturday after the resignation of Yeddyurappa, Naidu described it as a great victory for democracy as the Yeddyurappa government fell even before the floor test in the Karnataka Assembly scheduled for later in the day.
He slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah, saying that they had both ridiculed democracy with their antics in Karnataka.
He said that the Telugu people were greatly responsible for the defeat of the BJP in Karnataka, as they had responded positively to his pleas to vote against the party. He called upon the Telugu people to continue to do whatever they could to see the end of the people who had deceived Andhra Pradesh.
