Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao today announced that the state government would launch the TS-BPass from the first week of June.
The pass is intended to ensure transparency in the according of building permissions in the state.
Rao said that the new scheme would be implemented in all the municipalities of the state.
He made these remarks while holding a review meeting on the issue.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government had already introduced the scheme on a pilot basis in 87 municipalities of the state, and that some buildings had already been accorded permissions under the scheme.
He added that the government would take up a special drive on the basis of the feedback it received about the software-based system.
He asked the officials to be ready to implement the scheme from the first week of the June, and to train the staff concerned.
He also instructed them to implement the scheme in the GHMC limits as a priority, and to hold a meeting with the officials of the GHMC during the next two days.
