KTR Lauds Success Of TS-bPASS
KTR today said that permissions for the construction of 12,943 buildings had been granted within just 100 days of the introduction of the TS-bPASS scheme.
Telangana IT and Industries minister K T Rama Rao today lauded the government's TS-bPASS scheme for having successfully expedited the process of acquiring building permits.
Speaking during the Zero Hour of today's Budget session, he claimed that permissions for the construction of 12,943 buildings had been granted within just 100 days of the introduction of the scheme.
"More than 80% of the applications received through the TS-bPASS are cleared immediately. The scheme has successfully simplified the process of acquiring building approvals. It is now a quick and transparent process," Rao said.
Elaborating further, he explained, "While no permission is required for buildings constructed on plots of up to 75 sq yards, the applicant must register the same online by paying a token amount of Rs 1. Other than that, buildings less than 10 metres tall built on plots of up to 600 sq yards receive instant approval. This is done on the basis of self-certification provided by the applicant. Non-residential buildings taller than 10 metres are approved through a single-window system within 21 days. The scheme has been able to do away with any kind of inordinate delays in securing the required permissions for the construction of buildings."
KTR then assured the members of the Assembly that he would soon examine the problems of securing land records in Grama Kantams, and the matter of issuing building permits free of cost in special cases.
