Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in Hyderabad and Medchal-Malkajgiri from Tuesday to Thursday.
The two Telugu-speaking States, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, are already experiencing moderate rains, and the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has warned of continuing light to heavy rains in Telangana in the next four days.
A yellow alert has been issued to the respective districts in this regard.
According to met department officials, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning are likely to occur in Adilabad, Kumrambheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts from Sunday to Monday morning.
Heavy rains are then likely to occur in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Kothagudem, Vikarabad, Sangareddy and Kamareddy districts from Monday to Tuesday morning. Thunderstorms and lightning are likely to occur in some other areas of the State.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is finally likely to occur in Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Sangareddy, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy and Narayanpet districts from Tuesday to Thursday.
Officials said that the highest rainfall was recorded at Kotapalli in Mancherial district on Sunday.
