Telangana Health Minister C Laxma Reddy said on Thursday that the state government would fill 13,496 vacant posts in the medical sector soon.
Replying to the questions raised by BJP members in the Assembly on Thursday, Reddy said that the vacancies for nurses in the state's government hospitals were being filled on contract and outsourcing bases for a while now by the District Selection Committees. This enabled the nursing services to be rendered without interruption, he said.
The minister also said that the government was conducting a special drive to enhance the working skills of the nurses.
