The Telangana Telugu Desam Party legislators on Thursday blamed the TRS government for the spate of suicides by farmers in the State.
The T-TDP leaders including L Ramana, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Revanth Reddy staged a sit-in dharna before the office of the Principal Secretary Energy Shailender Kumar Joshi for about one hour.
Speaking to media persons, Errabelli alleged that the State Government had left the farmers to their fate, and was taking no action to prevent suicides.
He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had been targeting the TDP Government of Andhra Pradesh only to hide his failures. He said that KCR had failed to make effective representations to the Centre on the power crisis.
The TDP legislators demanded an all-party meeting to discuss and resolve the crisis. (INN)
