Alleging that former Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh late Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy's soul had possessed the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy said that there was a dreadful greediness for money in the redesigning of irrigation projects.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Reddy said that the Chief Minister was pressurizing the media not to publish the irregularities pointed out in the CAG reports of 2014-15.
He also alleged that the Chief Minister had entered into a secret pact with the Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Padnavis keeping the experts' report on the Godavari-Pranahitha rivers aside, and mortgaging the interests of the farmers.
"We boycotted the PowerPoint presentation by the Chief Minister to see that there wouldn't be our consent for KCR's redesigning of the projects for the sake of money," he said.
Stating that the then irrigation ministers Kadiam Srihari and Thummala Nageshwara Rao had praised the then irrigation project designs done by the then TDP government, Reddy demanded that the TRS government order a CID or CBI inquiry into the total estimations and irregularities in the projects.
He also urged the government to extend help to the 15 lakh farmers, who were migrating to other places.
