The all-party meet convened by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram is on in Delhi.

The TRS chief is pitching for an immediate solution to the bifurcation issue, while the Congress and the TDP stand divided. The BJP and the CPI are supporting the formation of a separate state, whereas the CPI (M) and Chiranjeevi’s PRP are for a united AP.
During the meeting, Chidambaram has appealed for peace and for an end to the agitations and the bandhs happening in the state.
The Congress high command had, yesterday, made it clear that today’s meeting will only be a step towards building a consensus for the matter.
