Dalit CM For Telangana: KCR
TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao promises in a meeting that a Dalit will be appointed as Telangana's first CM.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao, on Wednesday, reiterated his party's committment to making a Dalit leader the first Chief Minister of the state of Telangana.
Addressing a meeting at the Ghanpur Station in Warrangal, Chandrasekhar Rao said that the TRS was committed towards the Dalit cause, and that to this effect, a separate Telangana state would have a Dalit as its first Chief Minister. He assured that the TRS would never go back on its promises.
It may be mentioned here that KCR had earlier promised to give the post of Chief Minister to a Dalit leader while promising the Deputy CM's post to a Muslim candidate, after the formation of the Telangana state.
Addressing a massive gathering, KCR urged the TRS cadre to defeat the Andhra parties in the next elections, in orer to ensure the formation of a separate Telangana state.
Accusing the ruling Congress party of betraying the Telangana cause, he said that the formation of Telangana was inevitable even though the Centre has been delaying the issue of statehood .
KCR also promised 8 hours of free power to the agriculture sector, a waiver on farm loans, and compulsory free education for children, after the formation of Telangana.
Meanwhile, former minister and TDP leader Kadiyam Srihari formally joined the TRS during the meeting. Welcoming Kadiyam and his supporters into the TRS, KCR hoped that his entry would further strengthen the cause of Telangana.
