After much discussion, Seemandhra leaders who met today at
Ministers' Quarters came to the consensus that, although they won't resign from their posts, they would go to Delhi to put forth their objections to AP-bifurcation in front of the Central Government.
While the meeting itself was a peaceful affair, Osmania University students and Telangana Jagruthi activists turned the atmosphere afterwards incendiary. While their protests had started a while before the meeting had even begun, they turned violent thereafter, with the students attacking the convoy of ministers as the made their way out of Ministers' Quarters.
Some of them attacked the vehicle of MLA Danam Nagendar, who was at the meeting to advocate for the allocation of Hyderabad as a Union Territory in the case of AP's bifurcation, and managed to break the wind-shield.
The police soon intervened and arrested the rioters. The situation is being brought under control with lathi charge.
