City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma imposed certain restrictions on the movement of traffic in the city, in view of the "Sakala Jana Bheri" public meeting to be conducted by the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TPJAC), to be held at Nizam College Ground on Sunday.
According to the police, the traffic coming from the Taj Mahal Junction and Boggulakunta won't be permitted beyond King Koti crossroads towards Basheerbagh crossroads, and will be diverted towards Eden Garden crossroads.
Traffic coming from the Ambedkar Statue Junction will not be permitted to go towards Basheerbagh crossroads, and will be diverted at Liberty crossroads towards the Himayatnagar Y junction.
Traffic coming from the Eden Garden crossroads road will be diverted at King Koti towards Taj Mahal Junction and Boggulakunta, and traffic coming from the Cemetery Junction towards Basheerbagh crossroads will be diverted at Old MLA Quarters towards the Himayathnagar Y junction.
Similarly, traffic coming from Narayanaguda crossroads towards Basheerbagh X roads will be diverted at the Himayathnagar Y junction towards Liberty junction.
Traffic coming from Ravindra Bharathi and Nampally won't be permitted to go to Basheerbagh X road via PCR or AR Petrol Pump. Vehicles of only those who are attending the meeting will be allowed till BJR via AR Petrol Pump.
Traffic coming from Chermas towards Basheerbagh crossroads will be diverted at SBH junction towards Sujatha School line, and traffic coming from Cafe-e-Bahar lane towards Nizam College's gate nos. IV & III will be diverted at NCC Lane towards King Koti X roads.
These traffic restrictions will be in force from 12pm to 9pm on Sunday. The Commissioner has requested that the general public take alternate routes to their destinations and avoid the mentioned routes during the specified timings, and to cooperate with the traffic police. (INN)
