Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman M Kodandaram on Tuesday demanded that the Centre form a Telangana with 10 districts, with Hyderabad as its capital.
Participating in a dharna at Rajghat, Kodandaram said that the Congress-led UPA government should not deviate from the resolution on the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh that was passed by the Congress Working Committee and the Union cabinet.
He said that all the talk about Rayala Telangana was aimed at sabotaging the process of Telangana formation.
He added that it is the responsibility of Congress leaders from the Telangana region to get a Telangana state in its original form.
Kodandram expressed confidence that the Telangana Bill would be tabled and passed during the winter session of the Parliament. (INN)
