Minister for Excise Srinivas Goud on Tuesday got a big relief from the Telangana High Court.
The court dismissed a petition challenging his election.
Raghavendra Raju, a resident of Mahabubnagar, had filed a petition in 2018 claiming that Goud's election was invalid as he had submitted a false affidavit in the election.
The minister then filed a petition in the High Court seeking dismissal of the petition filed against him.
The court after hearing the case today dismissed the petition.
