Telangana Paramedical Staff Plea

Telangana Committee Paramedical Association demanded that the government take steps to improve the condition of paramedical staff in the state.
Hyderabad | 7th February 2011
Telangana Committee Paramedical Association (TCPA) on Monday demanded that the government fulfill its promise made in the state budget and release the funds earmarked for paramedical centers in the state.

Addressing a press conference, Telangana Committee Paramedical Association Convener C Shankar Mudiraj pointed out that RMP and PMB doctors had been assured by the government to be trained and issued certificates after completion of the course. Mudiraj claimed that this was also mentioned in the 2004 election manifesto of the Congress party.

The TCPA convener demanded that the government live up to the promises it made, besides providing other facilities for the trainees.

Mudiraj further revealed that some differences among the board members had led to the delay in providing the promised facilities to the trainees.

"We are suffering a lot because of internal differences between Paramedical Board and Vidya Vedha Parsihad. These differences have been aggravated further as of late, resulting in the solutions to our problems being put on the back burner, with no one to take notice of our plight," Mudiraj stated.

The TCPA convener warned that the association members would be forced to lay siege on the District Collectors' offices in the 10 districts of Telangana on February 14th along with paramedical staff to press for the fulfillment of their demands.
