It is the day Telangana Congress ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs are set to resign for the cause of a separete Telangana state.
The bunch of lawmakers hailing from the Telangana region had met at Panchayati Raj Minister Jana Reddy's house this morning, deliberating again on the issue of the planned resignation campaign.
However, Parkal MLA Konda Surekha, Jubilee Hills MLA Vishnuvardhan Reddy and Nizamabad MP Madhu Yaskhi have been the only ones to resign even before the massive contingent of their colleagues went ahead to dare to do so.
Konda Surekha, after submitting her resignation letter to Deputy Speaker Bhatti Vikramarka, paid her respects to the Martyrs' Memorial at Gun Park in Hyderabad, joining in the song-and-dance festivities that are on at the Park.
Konda Surekha has also demanded that TRS MLAs KCR and Vijayasanthi resign as well.
Vishnuvardhan Reddy submitted his papers to the Deputy Speaker as well, while Madhu Yaskhi faxed his resignation letter to the latter.
