All-Party Meeting For Telangana Soon
As pressure to conclude the Telangana issue increases, Chidambaram hopes to reach a fair solution to the Telangana issue, with the help of an all-party meeting to be held soon.
The Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, on Friday, reiterated that he would convene an all-party meeting on the Telangana issue soon.
"I have confidence that all stakeholders will attend the meeting and express their views fairly on the creation of the Telangana state," he told reporters.
He hopes that the TDP would attend the convention and make its stand clear on the statehood issue and help the Centre resolve the contentious issue.
Meanwhile, Telangana Congress MP T Rajaiah stated that Congress MPs have been mounting pressure on the Centre, by protesting inside and outside the Parliament, over the statehood issue.
Rajaiah expressed confidence that the Centre would soon provide a positive solution to the Telangana issue.
Congress MPs K V P Rama Chandra Rao, Botcha Jhansi, Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy, and TDP MP Mysoora Reddy have returned to Hyderabad, as the extended winter session of the Parliament concluded on Thursday. (INN)
