The Telangana government today filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court seeking directions to Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to approve 10 key bills pending with her for more than six months.
The petition is likely to come up for hearing on Friday.
Telangana Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari filed the writ petition on behalf of the State government, with the Governor named the respondent.
With these bills kept pending by Raj Bhavan for several months now, the State government has decided to take the unusual step of approaching the apex court seeking directions to the Governor.
