MLAs' Poaching Case: High Court Lifts Stay On Probe
The Telangana High Court lifted the stay on the probe into the TRS MLAs' poaching case, and directed the police to carry out an investigation into the case.
The Telangana High Court on Tuesday lifted the stay on the probe into the TRS MLAs' alleged poaching case, and directed the police to carry out an investigation into the case.
The High Court had, on October 29, passed an interim order deferring investigation into the case lodged by the Moinabad police about alleged attempts to lure four TRS MLAs with offers of huge sums of cash at the farmhouse of MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy.
The court was dealing with the petition filed by the BJP State unit, which sought investigation by an independent agency.
The court issued notices to the Union and State governments to respond.
With the court lifting the stay on the probe, the police are likely to file a petition seeking the custody of the accused for further investigation into the case.
