Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy today lashed out at Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan for holding on to bills without giving her approval, and said that she had no right to keep the bills passed by the State Assembly pending.
Speaking to news reporters, Reddy alleged that the Governor was insulting the basic principles of the Indian Constitution by keeping bills pending, and was acting like a BJP leader.
The BJP government at the Centre was hatching a conspiracy to obstruct the progress of non-BJP States by using the Governors to create hurdles for such States' governments, Reddy said.
He pointed out that Soundararajan had praised the State government for implementing various development programmes during the recent budget speech, but her actions while working from the Raj Bhavan were in contradiction to that.
