The Telangana government is likely to move the Supreme Court against the Centre to get the "rightful share" of the Krishna waters to the State.
The State government today expressed its displeasure at the Centre for its reported comments that the issue of the distribution of the waters will be confined to the States.
"The Centre failed to keep its promise on the sharing of the Krishna waters. We condemn the Centre for its comments which deprive Telangana of its share of waters from the Krishna River," TRS leader and MP B Vinod Kumar stated.
"When we met the Union water resources minister Uma Bharathi in Delhi, she said that justice would be done to Telangana on the river waters issue. But now the Centre is reneging and denying us our share," he lamented.
"We will take the fight to any level and move the apex court of the country," Vinod Kumar stated.
He also alleged that the Centre succumbed to the pressure mounted by the Karnataka and Maharashtra governments in this regard. The partiality being shown by the Centre would be exposed at the right platform, he warned.
