Supreme Court's Krishna Water Verdict Unfair: CPI
The Communist Party of India (CPI) opined that the Supreme Court should revisit the Tribunal's verdict and help Telangana get justice.

Alleging that the then united Andhra Pradesh government's failure to make a valid case before the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal back in 2013, lead to the current crisis, the Communist Party of India (CPI) opined that the Supreme Court's dismissal of the Special Leave Petition filed by the Telangana government was a heavy loss to the Telangana.
In a press note today, CPI State Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy said that the apex court's dismissal of the petition was unjust beyond a doubt. He ridiculed its verdict that the two Telugu States had to solve the problem under the Centre's guidance without involving Maharashtra and Karnataka.
He requested that the court re-review the tribunal's "unilateral" verdict on the allocation of Krishna waters and order the provision of fair shares of water to Palamur, AMR, SLBC, Kalwakurthy and Nettempadu.
The State must convene a meeting with all political parties and engineering experts, he said adding the TRS government must keep making persistent appeals to the apex court and make solid arguments in front of the bench.
