The Telangana government today increased the honorary salaries of the members of the local bodies in the state.
The government took a decision to hike the honoraria by 30%, and issued the related orders.
The members of the local bodies and the Sarpanches of the village panchayats will get the benefits.
The ZPTC and the MPP members will get Rs 13,000 a month now against the previous Rs 10,000.
And MPTCs and Sarpanches will now get Rs 6,500 against the previous Rs 5,000 a month.
The Panchayat Raj department issued orders in this regard with the consent of the finance department.
Finance Minister T Harish Rao made the announcement that the honorary salaries of the local bodies' members were increased, and extended thanks to the Chief Minister and the Panchayat Raj minister Dayakar Rao for the same.
