Large Scale Transfers of Municipal Commissioners Effected

As many as 35 Municipal Commissioners (belonging mostly to Grade III) have been transferred from their current positions and given new postings.

A Government Order issued on February 17 said that the transfers were affected on administrative grounds. It is however quite possible that the transfers were done keeping in view the launch of the Pattana Pragathi program on February 24.

The state government also appointed Mukund Reddy, Prashanthi, Rajanikanth Reddy and Thrilleshwar as new Deputy Commissioners of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

In addition, Nalini Padmavathi has been transferred from the post of GHMC Deputy Commissioner and appointed as Joint Director in the office of the Director of Municipal Administration. Likewise, Venugopal Reddy has been posted as Deputy Director in the office of the Director of Municipal Administration.
