The Telangana Rashtra Samithi, on Monday, set a deadline of 3 days for the state government to fulfill the promises it had made to Telangana government employees at the time the Sakala Janula Samme (the people's general strike) ended.
Talking to reporters at the Assembly media point, TRS floor leader Etela Rajender claimed that the government has been intentionally delaying the implementation of the agreement that it had entered into with the Telangana employees to end the Sakala Janula Samme.
He said that despite several reminders, the government had continued to ignore the issue, citing legal hurdles.
Etela said that the TRS would not allow the House to run if the government fails to fulfill all the promises within 3 days as was promised.
He demanded that the government also withdraw all the cases registered against the Telangana students who had participated in the statehood agitation.
He demanded that the Deputy Superintendant of Police who beat up a youth, Yakub Reddy, in Warangal district be dismissed from service, and that a criminal case be booked against him.
The TRS leader said that his party would stall the proceedings of the House until all the promises made by the government are fulfilled. (INN)
