Government whip T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy on Tuesday demanded that former PCC president K Keshava Rao resign from the party instead of resorting to mudslinging over the Telangana issue.
Talking to reporters at the Assembly's media point, Jagga Reddy condemned the remarks Keshava Rao made during his speech at Indira Park on Tuesday.
Criticising the former MP for
sharing the platform along with other opposition parties, he said that Keshava Rao must quit the party if he is so dissatisfied with the Congress High Command.
Jagga Reddy also alleged that Keshava Rao was venting his frustration after he was denied extension of his Rajya Sabha membership a few months ago.
He asserted that as a member of the Rajya Sabha, KK had never raised the voice for Telangana either in the Parliament or before the High Command in New Delhi.
"However, ever since he was denied the post, he has been targeting the Congress party and its leaders," he said.
When asked about the
allegations leveled against him by the Hyderabad Civil Society, Jagga Reddy said that he was studying the Society's remarks, and that he would reply to them in a day or two. (INN)
