High Court Orders Faster Hearing Of Cases On MPs, MLAs
The Telangana High Court today directed several subordinate courts to take up the hearings of the cases against MLAs and MPs on a day-to day basis.

Pursuant to the recent Supreme Court order in the Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay vs Union of India and others case, the Telangana High Court on Saturday directed the Metropolitan Sessions Judge at Hyderabad, the special judge for the trial of cases against MPs and MLAs, the court of the special judge set up under the Prevention of Corruption Act for speedy trial of the cases of embezzlement of scholarship amounts in the social welfare department, the principal CBI judge at Hyderabad and the principal ACB judge to take up the hearings of the cases in their respective courts against MLAs and MPs on a day-to day basis.
Further, the unit heads of the metropolitan sessions judge and the CBI courts at Hyderabad have been directed to continue the present practice of virtual hearing till November 6.
Cases pertaining to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy, Telangana minister P Sabitha Reddy and several other accused in the disproportionate assets case of Jaganmohan Reddy will be taken up for hearing.
