The Telangana Group-I Officers' Association today released a poster proclaiming a "Shankaravam" and calling upon all the officers to participate in a "Chalo Nizam College Grounds" rally in large numbers on February 26 in pursuance of their demand for restoration of the old pension scheme instead of the Contributory Pension Scheme.
Speaking to mediapersons on Saturday, Association president Chandrasekar Goud said that there would be a huge loss to the government as well as to the employees with the CPS.
He said that even as several state governments and the Army were implementing the old scheme, the Telangana government was not doing so, leaving the Group-I officers depressed.
Association leaders Somasekar, Hanumanthu and others also spoke.
